I definitely understand what it’s like to be surrounded by cis straight white people all the time and not have anyone who really understands you around. Personally, I feel talking to a therapist is always a good idea, but I’m biased…

A bit sucky that I’m still having to deal with it though: trying to get friends to not invite her to things with minimal telling them what went on is hard :/

Thank you! I can’t imagine there is any way she will be there, as in at the conference, but she may well be living close by still and I haven’t been there since we broke up so it will be weird anyway. But I think (hope) it should be fine :)
